2006-2007 Tigers Handicap
We all know Tiger is the greatest golfer in PGA Tour History. It is a fact of life, for those of you who are not exactly Tiger fans I am sorry.
Talking with some Professional Golf Management Students at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, I heard a few interesting facts. I went home and did a little research. Did you know the difference between the number one golfer in the world (Tiger) and the number two golfer in the world (Phil Mickelson) is a larger gap than Phil and number 1394 James Ablett! Tiger has a total of 847.51 points, Phil has 413.84. If my math is correct that is a 433.67 point difference! Phill doesn't even have that many. I am sorry to pick on James Ablett but you were the last man on the list.
When you think about it, how is that possible? We all know Tiger is a great golfer, but seriously other people win tournaments too. While emailing some friends I was forwarded a great email from a c-worker. It talks about Tiger's handicap from August 3rd, 2006 to January 28th, 2007. If you do no know, the PGA Tour doesn not establish course ratings for Tour events. It would be pointless being tour players usually play from tees that are only used in tour events. On top of that courses don't usually keep the rough thick and 4-6" tall along with greens that are double and triple cut as well as rolled.
